Using a safe, mindful and gentle approach you’ll learn practices that will help to decrease your pain and move with more ease in your daily life.

It can be really helpful to keep moving if you live with chronic or persistent pain. But how do you do that in the face of pain? How do you know it’s safe to move? How might you begin? Can you really start anywhere?
In this class, you’ll learn why movement is important. You’ll also learn what evidence tells us about pain and how the integration of this knowledge along with movement, is one of the best ways to bring about change. You’ll learn gentle movement and breath practices and other forms of relaxation that will help calm the nervous system, which always plays a part in the experience of pain.
You’ll learn about awareness or interoception, why it is important and tools you can use to build this into your everyday life.
No prior yoga experience is necessary. In fact, most people coming to these classes have never practiced yoga before.
