Yoga therapy is a relatively new professional practice that looks to support people through a range of life’s challenges. This might include injury, illness or disease, but it might also be from loss, trauma, grief or other experiences. I follow an established Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics from the International Association of Yoga Therapists so you can feel confident in standards of training, confidentiality, and person-centered care.

Yoga therapy sessions are generally 1 hour in length.
Time is given to listen to your experience, the challenges you face, your concerns and what your primary goals or focus might be. They will include discussion, assessment, practices and a home program will be provided, unique to you.

During our first session together, we spend extra time (90 minutes) to get to know one another a little, to understand what’s most important to you, the focus of our work together. What you’re most concerned about, have difficulty with and what strengths you have that we can build upon.
We will explore practices that are appropriate, helpful and connected to your focus or goals. From there, you’ll be provided an individualized program to take home.
It’s important you have time to practice the home program, so we generally meet again in another week or two, for follow-up.

Following an initial session we meet again for 60 minutes (usually in 1 to 2 weeks) to review your home program, how it went and again what your focus is. What’s most important to you going forward. We’ll use the time for discussion and practices to best support this focus.

I’m currently offering an 8-week package for $650, which is $70 off my regular pricing. You can pay all at once, or make two payments.
You might be someone who visits various therapists for symptom relief. You have a massage, a treatment, an ‘adjustment’ and similarly there is relief. And, then you must go back. Again, and again.
Which is great.
When working 1:1 with someone it is common to gain immediate relief from symptoms (which for most of my clientele, is pain) in the very first session together.
My goal is to help bring awareness to what is creating or bringing about the symptom.
What is the underlying issue at hand? What might be contributing factors unique to you?
Providing you with a felt experience of change (to your pain) and from there, growing that first glimmer of hope to be long-lasting. Building your capacity to have less time in pain, and more time to do the things you love.
Which is why I suggest if possible, committing to working over a 2-month time period with me (8 sessions). Two months may seem like a long time at first, but not so much if it helps over the long term. For example, if you commit to two months and then get to live your life with a little more ease for the next 30 years, that seems like time well spent.
Over 2 months we will have an hour together once per week. You choose the days and times that work best for you. The time in-between is important as you will have opportunity to practice, to incorporate what we do in the session, into your life. Of course, you will also be able to reach out for anything in particular, in between.
Create more ease, less pain.
What does this look like?
Does this sound like something you would like to invest in?
